ORNAMENT Alexander the Great's Sister 50,00€

Collection: Special Occasions [LAB050]

The Mermaid comes along with a poem I wrote explaining the myth!

The Sister of Alexander the Great

I am the sister of Alexander, fair and proud,

Who spilled the magic water, unallowed.

That water, destined to defeat grim Death,

Would grant him endless reign and timeless breath.

He cursed me then, and turned me to a fish,

A mermaid's form was granted as his wish.

One hand holds a ship, so grand and rare,

The other, an eternal onion, magic's flair.

I roam the seas, searching far and near,

Asking sailors if my brother reigns, in cheer.

If they reply, "He lives, oh queen," the waters rest,

But should they err, I conjure waves in great unrest.

Wild and fierce, they rise and swallow whole,

Boats and ships to ocean’s darkest shoal.

And should you wonder, once I was called Thessaloniki,

Now a famed city across Earth’s lands, unique and mighty.
